IRAQ RECONSTRUCTION

Iraq passed by two vandalism phases as a result of the coalition forces attacks, the first was in 1991 while the second was in 2003.

After the year 2003 the process of Iraq reconstruction began, where the Americans tried to set up specialized committees in this regard and we were ready to cooperate with them to accomplish this work, such as housing projects in Karbala and the development of the Baghdad International Fair Shopping Center to make it an effective and important one.

However, the purely political reasons prevented the implementation of these projects.

Later, investment laws were established and the private sector dove into the depths of financing the reconstruction of Iraq, we shared this time with the private sector in many projects such as housing projects in Utaifiyya, Baya and Sulaymaniyah, and others.

However, each stage has its own flaws, investment laws were not free of mistakes and some that have not been overcome or modified.

Although the present housing problems could not be completely solved, we were able to participate in small residential and developement projects.

On the other hand, the lack of efficiency and investor eligibility to do the job contributed to slowing down the process.

Add to all of the above that the concerned party in this regard and the relevant authorities to correct the situation and start the reconstruction of Iraq are not eligible and unable to manage the whole subject.

Whatever the obstacles that confront us we stayed, we always ready to stand side by side with all of reconstructing Iraq and seeks to renaissance with all the capabilities that we have and all the experience we have gained over the past decades.
